I think I will use surveys after every assignment in my high school theatre class. The reason why is because it'll allow me to see what acting skills or concepts are more challenging than others. Surveys can also tell me who works better together for scene work. Another reason I would use surveys after every assignment is because I will be able to see what genres are comfortable for students and try to give them more challenging work. Finally I would be able to receive feedback for my teaching style and improve based on it. The topics I found most interesting while reviewing my peers blogs were the ones that allowed me to get to know them better. For example in the first blog we were asked to write about our experiences with technology and what was our favorite or most used online source. I think topics like these are good because I can see where I stand with my skills compared to everyone else. Topics like these also can give me a better feel my peers personality which is super

If I'm being honest I like how convenient distance learning is; especially because I don't have my own form of transportation. I don't have to worry about how I'm going to get to school or class, which means I can accomplish more and really be on my won schedule instead of someone else's. However it can be hard meeting and creating lasting relationship with peers. When I'm a teacher I will work on communication between teacher and student and student and student by forming group chats, and breakout rooms through out class.  OER are free recourses from some of the smartest educators and institutions that can be used to help others. There are tools in place to help one share their work and or resource that helps refine your work. Not all students come from the same background or has access to the same recourses as others which is why OER are so useful. They can level the playing field for all students from all educational, and economic backgrounds. OER are extrem

I decided to look at one of my formal teachers page from Leon High School, and I surely was not disappointed. While attending Leon, I did not use my teachers web page to my advantage like I should have. I see how resourceful they can be, for example Mr. Robby Read currently has a bio so the students and parents can be a little more familiar with him. He also has an announcement, important dates, and deadline page on his website. This is important so all of his students and parents can be updated on what's due and or coming up in the near future.  https://www.leonschools.net/Page/22542  I envision using technologies that are cost efficient as well convenient to all my students no matter their circumstances. One being a text messaging tool that would allow me to send updates and reminders for when things are due via text, through Tatango and Twilio. Another one would be a fun gaming one such as Kahoot to make learning more fun and enjoyable. Lastly, I would use a social media tool

As far as my "early experience" with Twitter goes, I have little to no experience at all. In 2018 I downloaded the app for acting and business purposes but could never dive into it because I didn't really know how to use it. Twitter is surely my least used app or social media platform. If I learned how to use it better then I could connect with other actors, casting directors, and directors. However; as of right now, there is no audience I connect with.   In my opinion there are only two causes to the digital divide,  the first being the classroom and the second being society. Because countries are in competition with one another they push and explorer new ways of learning which created more technology based learning. Society is almost the same way, except we as humans try to create an easier way to communicate, learn, and go about our lives. One of the ways to effectively do this is by creating new technologies to make life easier. They advertise these technologies and

Prior to this week, I had zero experience with Diigo. To be completely honest I really don't understand the purpose of the site. I haven't used the site but only two times, so my knowledge of the site is very limited. However, I do like the bookmark feature because I can bookmark a website and share it to my group page so others can see.  Blogging to me is fun, even though I've only blogged for educational purposes. I like the idea of "free writing," which in my opinion is the art of just writing or typing your thoughts out without there being a right or wrong answer. It's something about writing my thoughts out without the fear of being right or wrong which is ""freeing." I learned that you can add visuals to your blog which is fantastic, so your blogs can be more digestible and not so text heavy.  Weebly is a Web 2.0 tool that I may use in the future for teaching. Weebly is a user-friendly website that help users build a professional website.

I decided to choose grades 11-12 th   from the Standards and Technology Matrices for ELA because I feel as though these grades are     valuable years for learning a student can receive because they’re close to jumping into the “real world.” I chose standard LAFS.1112.RST.3.7     because it is the standard that informs one that they should be able to incorporate and understand various streams of information presented in several formats and media in order to address and solve issues. I find this to be important because when these students either go off to college or land a job they will be presented     with topics from digital sources that needs to be addressed and be expected to address those well. With my current skill I believe I would not be prepared to implement this standard to 11 th   and 12 th   graders because they use Word, Excel, Pixlr, Photoshop, and Tuva. I’ve used most if not all of these tools on multiple occasions however I have not mastered one or more of them, so I w

Copyright and fair use are very important to me, especially since I come from a musical family. Copyright is the legal right to use, publish, print or record in form of content with certain guidelines. Without this, the original owner of that content wouldn’t be recognized or paid for their work. It’ll almost be as if someone plagiarized their content. If I was an instructor I would probably do a few lessons on copyright and fair use, then try to find some creative activity the students could do so they could truly understand the concept.     If I was an instructor I would probably encourage and enforce the rules on cyber bullying as well as academic dishonesty. Cyber bullying should not be tolerated especially because I believe it’s a cowardice act. I would try to encourage my students to get to know each other better, and show them the benefits of not bullying someone as well as separate any students that would have a problem with each other. The next concept I would want to enforc
